Tulus’ bittersweet single “Hati-hati di Jalan” becomes the first Indonesian song in history to enter the top 50 on the global Spotify chart, ranking 42 on March 8, international music chart analyst @chartdata says.

On Mar. 8, Tulus broke his own record as his song was played more than 1 million times that day. Previously, the song broke the all-time stream record on Spotify Indonesia with 969,000 plays when it entered the global chart for the first time on March 6.

The single’s lyric video on YouTube also has been watched 6.5 million times.

The single broke the record previously held by “To the Bone” by Pamungkas, which was played 750,000 in a day. Previously, Niki Zefanya became the first Indonesia’s singer to enter the Top 100 Spotify, ranking 97 on Jan. 21 with “Every Summertime”. Tulus’ “Hati-hati di Jalan” gets extra praise for being the first song with Indonesian lyrics to gain the achievements.
