Airbnb celebrates Disney’s 95th anniversary with an incredible stay at a ‘Bearbnb’ in the Ashdown Forest in Nutley, England. The ‘Bearbnb” is a cottage that sleeps up to four guests and is hosted by artist Kim Raymond, who has been drawing Pooh for more than 30 years.
“I have been illustrating Winnie the Pooh for 30 years, and I continue to be inspired by the classic decorations of E.H. Shepard and the more recent Disney stories. The ‘Bearbnb’ is a unique experience that brings the charm of Pooh to life for fans while honoring the original adventures that have been so important to many people for 95 years.” Kim said in a release.
Kim also explained that Kim brought Pooh’s house to life using details from E.H. Shepard’s original book illustrations. For example, the whimsical one-bedroom abode is built into the tree’s base with exposed branches. And the guest will find a “Mr. Sanders” sign above the entryway and cupboards stocked with “Hunny” pots.
The ‘Bearbnb’ is wholly designed for guests to enjoy a relaxing family stays, including a double bed on the ground floor, and a mezzanine area with two single beds. The lounge area is furnished with comfortable seating and dining areas for guests to appreciate the “smackerel.”
During each stay, guests will be guided tours through the original Hundred Acre Wood, play Poohsticks on the iconic Poohsticks Bridge, and enjoy locally inspired food. The ‘Bearbnb’ will also be stocked with several wellness products to encourage guests to embrace their natural environment and live more like Pooh. Its products include yoga mats, journals, and throws.
The accommodation will be open for two separate stays on 24 & 25 September for £95 per night or around 1.8 million rupiahs with booking open on 20 September. The purpose-built Bearbnb sleeps a family of four.
