PPKM is officially extended again.

Through a press statement on Monday (9/8), the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Investment Minister, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan announced that PPKM 4, 3, and 2 in Java – Bali will be extended until August 16.

He also announced several policy adjustments in several sectors, such as malls in Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, and Semarang may open with a capacity of 25%, and only vaccinated visitors aged 13 to 69 years are allowed.

Meanwhile, the Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto announced that PPKM 4, 3, and 2 outside Java-Bali will be extended until August 23.

The government is aware that this pandemic condition is likely to continue for the next few years, therefore the Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, by the direction of the President and other ministers, conveyed that later the entire people would access the “PeduliLindungi” application as the basis for implementing digital health protocols, one of which is to show the status of being vaccinated. This application will be used in six main sectors: trade, offices or industrial areas, transportation, tourism, religion, and education.
