Departing from his hobby of collecting old motorcycles, Eri Sudarmono, a resident of Bantul, succeeded in creating a robot replica from used motorcycle parts. International clients have bought the 42-year-old man's work. Transformers-themed replica statues that he made have been shipped to Germany and China.
Before making robots, Eri was a painter and had a painting studio since 2006. However, his painting demand plummeted during the pandemic. Finally, a Chinese buyer who used to buy his paintings asked to make a robot replica made of metal or iron. Even though he has never made a replica of a robot on demand, he still accepts his client's request. Finally, with a background in art education at ISI Yogyakarta, he applied some of his knowledge even though he did not finish his education.

His business is growing, and now he can produce 5 to 8 replica robots with skeletons in one month.
