The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has decided to hold face-to-face school learning with 100 percent student capacity starting today, Monday (3/1/2022). Head of the DKI Jakarta Education Office, Nahdiana, said that the policy was based on the Surat Keputusan Bersama (SKB) of the 4 Ministers which was decided on December 21, 2021.
Even though it is 100 percent open, Nahdiana requires all school residents to implement strict health protocols. Especially for those who have not been vaccinated. Quoting from Kompas.com, Nahdiana explained that currently, the second dose of vaccination for educators and school staff has reached 80 percent, while vaccination for students is still ongoing.
The DKI Jakarta Education Office allows students to take distance learning (online) from home if parents are still worried about their child are having face-to-face learning at school. Schools must still provide online learning services for children who can not go to school.
