The process of counting the votes for the Village Head Election at TPS 5 Mekar Baru Village, Petir District, Serang Regency, Banten, was shocked by photos of South Korean boyband personnel, BTS.

According to Kompas, the Unknown Voters voted for candidate number 2, namely Asep Rupawan, and replaced the photos of the three other candidates’ photos with photos of BTS personnel. The unknown voter replaced a photo of candidate number 1 Tb Muzakar with a photo of Park Jimin. Then, the photo of candidate number 3, Abdul Hamid, was replaced by a photo of Jeon Jungkook and candidate number 4, Mustahiq, was replaced by a photo of Min Yoongi (Saga).

As a result, the vote based on the decisions made by the candidates and the KPPS committee were declared invalid.
