“Baby Shark Dance” by Pinkfong has become the first ever YouTube video to reach 10 billion views. The video’s viewership is even more than the entire human population of Earth, according to Guinness World Records.

It was first uploaded in 2016 and became the most-viewed children’s music video on YouTube. The song "Baby Shark" most likely originated from a campfire song from at least the 20th century.

However, the YouTube video of “Baby Shark” became viral especially in Indonesia and South Korea. Then, it quickly spreads to the rest of Asia as well as the world.

Despite being the most viewed video, “Baby Shark” still can’t beat "Despacito" as the most liked video on YouTube with 47 million likes as of January 2022, compared to 33 million for "Baby Shark”.
